As a reference I used the IPMA climate normal for Faro (1991–2020), which the institute places in the "Baixo Alentejo e Sotavento Algarvio" climate region. Cacela Velha has no series of its own in this source, so local values may differ a little.

Tavira Municipal Museum
The Municipal Museum has the Palácio da Galeria as its core, opened to the public in 2001 after restoration, with exhibitions on the history and heritage of the municipality. The Islamic Museum Nucleus gathers archaeological finds from several places in the town, including the Vaso de Tavira, a caliphal-period capital and a 12th-century Islamic wall (Postal).
- Price: according to Postal (October 2026), the joint ticket for the Palácio da Galeria and the Islamic Nucleus costs 3 euros.
- Hours: the sources I found say Tuesday to Saturday, opening at 9:15 (Time Out) or 9:30 (National Tile Museum) and closing at 16:30, closed on Sunday and Monday. I did not find the official hours, so check before you go.

Tavira Ciência Viva Centre
It has been housed since 2005 in the former chapel of the Carmo convent and has an interactive exhibition on water and energy (University of the Algarve). It is a good option with children; see also the Algarve with kids. The municipal walking guide refers visitors to the centre's website (cvtavira.pt) for hours; source. I did not find prices, so check on site or online.
Mercado da Ribeira
The building was built in 1887 and worked as the municipal market until 1999; today it houses cafés, restaurants and an ice-cream shop, according to Wanderlog. It is no longer the old fish-and-fruit market, but it works for a coffee or a meal by the river. Hours depend on each business.
Castro Marim
The Castro Marim Castle Museum Nucleus is inside the castle, a National Monument since 1920. Entry to the museum is free, according to Lifecooler, and it is advisable to book the visit in advance. The municipal brochure gives 9:00 to 17:00 from November to March and 9:00 to 19:00 from April to October (Castro Marim municipality), but other sites give different hours; check before you go. In heavy rain the castle and the marsh are mostly outdoor routes.
Vila Real de Santo António
The municipality lists the Centro Cultural António Aleixo, on Rua Teófilo Braga, open 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday, and in July and August Tuesday to Friday from 17:00 to 23:00 and at weekends from 20:00 to 23:00 (VRSA municipality). The page gives no prices. The Manta Rota Arts and Crafts Centre, in the former Casino building, is open only in July and August, so it is no use in autumn and winter.
