The beach
The municipality describes a long, narrow beach of golden sand at the eastern end of Tavira Island, in front of the village, popular for windsurfing and sailing (municipality). Visit Tavira mentions artisanal fishing boats anchored in the ria and fishing-gear stores along the waterfront, and lists food and drink outlets (beach bar) (Visit Tavira). The beach is concessioned and the municipality says it is not adapted for people with reduced mobility; an undated guide mentions a boardwalk and accessibility, so check.
